Aspiring Future Product Marketing manager
My major goals and aspirations are to be a future Product Marketing Manager at a tech company because of my passion for technology. I really enjoy working on marketing projects that require creativity and innovation. I also want to work in specific, Product Marketing as I want to handle marketing projects of products and be able to successfully generate demand using market research. I plan in 5 years to obtain my M.B.A with a concentration in Data Analytics to be able to utilize data such as key consumer insights to make better marketing decisions.

Tech Pod is a student run startup that has a mission for helping bridge the gap between college students and non technical roles at big tech companies such as Salesforce, Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Facebook. As a Tech Pod Newsletter Lead, one of my key responsibilities is to market our partnerships to many different campuses (8, 000 subscribers from UC Berkeley, USC, Purdue, and many more!). As a Newsletter Lead, I visualize the product roadmap for Tech Pod’s Newsletter and devise different marketing strategies that keep our subscribers engaged with our content regarding internship postings and partnerships with other student organizations.

LiveReach Media Inc | Product Marketing Associate Intern

As a Product Marketing intern, I was tasked with helping launch Live Reach Media’s social distance and occupancy technology that helps rebuild consumer confidence at airports, hotels, and other big venues. Working alongside the business development manager and cofounder of LiveReach, I was tasked with market research (surveying different venues to gauge interest for our product), product marketing (how to make our product stand out against competitors, product positioning on LinkedIn), content marketing (storytelling about our social distancing product using email marketing and LinkedIn), and website design (work with business development manager and graphic designer to conceptualize a redesign of the website).

Right across from Apple Park (Tim Cook’s homeland), I got to work alongside the Visitor Center retail team in Cupertino where I was tasked with cultivating Apple’s relationships with its customer base by introducing them to products and services that satisfy their needs. As a Specialist, I would be the first person customers meet when they enter the store and guide them with advice and sell them the right product solution. Throughout my two year experience, I had other roles within the store too such as maintaining visual merchandising and mentoring new team members. I would always stay on top of news about new products launches and initiatives in order to provide the best possible customer experience. One of the major takeaways from this experience was receiving great satisfaction from helping customers develop lifelong relationships with Apple.
